- July 2002: Josef Grosch on basic setup of DHCP and DNS. Held at Peter's Cafe.

- January 2003: Chris Coleman and Greg Sutter on what's been happening at Daemon News, at Peter's Cafe.
- March 2003: Group discussion on the possibility of BAFUG "going into hibernation". It did not. Held at Peter's Cafe.
- June 2003: Tim Kientzle, "Samba: A Practical Introduction". Held at Peter's Cafe.
- July 2003: Paul Fronberg and David Wolfskill lead a discussion of how to install newly released versions 4.8 and 5.1, with particular attention to configuring XFree86 and getting the optimal system settings. Held at Peter's Cafe.
- October 2003: Speakers from Vovida.org spoke about Vovida Open Communication Application Library (VOCAL), an open-source project targeted at facilitating the adoption of VoIP in the marketplace.
- November 2003: Gregory Gilliss spoke on general computer security, and touched on the Community Based Open Source (CBOSS) FreeBSD security initiative. Held at Peter's Cafe.
- December 2003: Ryan Lackey and Tom Sparks on "FreeBSD Routers, Firewalls and Application Proxies". Held at Peter's Cafe.
- January 2004: Matt Dillon on DragonFly BSD. Held at Peter's Cafe.
- May 2004: Vipul Ved Prakash on Vipul's Razor. Held at Peter's Cafe.
- October 2004: Open discussion at Peter's Cafe.
- November 2005: Igor Sviridov and Dmitry Kohmanyuk on FilmLoop, Inc.'s PXE/autoinstall infrastructure, and its novel jail cluster infrastructure.
- December 2005: Julian Elischer on Netgraph in FreeBSD 5.x and Beyond: What's New and Why. First meeting held at IronPort Systems in San Bruno, also changing BAFUG-SF's meeting date from 2nd Thursdays to 1st Wednesdays.
- February 2006: Peter Wemm on the AMD-64 and EMT-64 architectures. How they differ from X86 and how that affects FreeBSD. Also, "Running FreeBSD on the x-64 architectures."
- March 2006: Sam Leffler on WiFi on BSD.
- April 2006: Round-table discussion on "6.1 is out (almost); why go to 6.x, and what's new."
- May 2006: Nate Lawson on ACPI, and Alan Cox on the FreeBSD VM subsystem
- July 2006: Tim Kientzler on "Rewriting tar, and What Came of That"
