About BAFUG

BAFUG ( Bay Area FreeBSD Users Group ) is a users group for open source Unix-based systems in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our primary emphasis is on FreeBSD, but enthusiasts of other open source Unix and Unix-like systems such as Linux, DragonFly BSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD are welcome.

Chapters:

Our S.F. / Mid-Peninsula chapter meets first Wednesday, 7:30 pm, usually at IronPort Systems, 950 Elm Ave. nr. Bayhill Drive, San Bruno. Note change from prior 2nd Thursday meeting dates, changed a/o December 2005.
Our South Bay chapter, SVBUG, meets first Thursdays, 7:30 pm, at Carl's Jr. on N. 1st Street @ W. Trimble Road, in San Jose (map). (currently suspended)
There was formerly an East Bay chapter meeting on fourth Thursdays at UC Computer: The East Bay chapter is currently dormant for lack of a venue and meeting wrangler.

Aside from this Web site, BAFUG also runs public discussion and announce-only mailing lists, accessible at http://www.bafug.org/about/bafug_mail.html.
